If you prefer to receive both emails and text messages, select No Preference.<br \/>\n<\/strong>NOTE: Leave your profile setting on <strong>No Preference<\/strong> unless you have strong reasons for refusing either email or text messages. This way, advisors can send short updates to your phone and longer messages to your email.<\/li>\n<li>To update your mobile phone information on file, you\u2019ll need to log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/web7.austincc.edu\/myacc\/studentDashboard.php?login&amp;requesttype=STUDENT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My ACC Student Portal<\/a> account. Click on My Profile and add your preferred phone number. This will ensure your advisor has the correct contact information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>By agreeing to receive text messages,<\/strong> you acknowledge that standard text messaging rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Any costs related to receiving a text message are the responsibility of the individual receiving the message.
