General HUSE Internship
General HUSE Internship Steps and Sites
The HUSE Internship provides students with a practical learning experience. This course requires students to work in a human services agency or social service organization for a total of 160 hours per internship. All students are under the direct supervision of a Human Services Professional at their chosen site. Students in all programs will have specific internship opportunities to choose from and have guidance from their assigned faculty to assist with placement.
At these sites, students will learn to apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes acquired in core Human Service courses to work with clients within their agency or organization. Students will meet with their faculty instructor generally on a weekly basis to evaluate their practicum experience, expectations and refine their skills. Students will also complete coursework and assignments based on your degree program’s internship requirements.
