What is the first step to enrolling in the social work program at ACC?

The first step is becoming an ACC student.  Apply to Austin Community College by filling out and submitting the ACC Online Application.

 

What is a program map?

A program map is an outline of your degree/award plan that includes prerequisites requirements (if any), course sequences, program milestones, career and transfer information, and pertinent information specific to the program to help you make informed decisions.

It is recommended that you use the program map when meeting with your advisor.

 

Where do I find my program map?

Access the social work program map.

 

How do I find the social work courses in the public course schedule?

The social work courses are listed under the sociology link in the public course schedule. To find the social work courses:

  1. Go to the public course schedule.
  2. Find the link for the sociology courses and click on it.
  3. On the page, scroll down to find the social work courses.

 

How do I find the social work courses in the registration system (Self-Service)?

To find them search for the social work courses by using the following keyword: “socw”.

 

What are the steps I need to take to register?
