Academic Coaching – As an ACC student, you’re busy trying to navigate complex and shifting priorities at school, work, and home. It can be challenging to get where you want to go, when you’re trying to keep up with life, but you don’t have to do it alone. Academic Coaches are here for you! They can help you succeed by focusing on your personal academic goals and giving you the tools you need to reach them.
ACC Online Learning Lab – Online tutoring is available for free to all currently enrolled ACC students. There are several options offered to meet students’ learning needs.
Advising – The social work advising page provides information on the different advising available.
Learning Lab – Offers a list of comprehensive options to help students succeed from tutoring, handouts, and adaptive technology to reserving a study room.
Library Services for Students – Use the ACC LIbraries to get help for assignments, research and so much more!

Online Study Resources – From strategies for reading to taking notes, this page has a helpful list of resources that can be accessed online.
Supplemental Instruction – Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an academic support model that uses peer-assisted study sessions. The SI program targets traditionally difficult academic courses and provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class review sessions.

To access Blackboard, you will need your ACCEID and be officially enrolled in the course you are trying to access.

Bus Pass (FREE)
ACC bus pass now free for ACC students
Eligible ACC students can now ride Capital Metro for free with an ACC Green Pass. The Green Pass allows free rides on all Metro bus and rail services, including its priority service with fewer stops for faster commuting. The pass also allows unlimited Special Transit Services (Accessibility Service).
Green Pass riders must show an ACC ID card upon request.
Child Care
ACC students can receive drop-in care for their children ages 12 months to 12 years as part of a program offered by the YMCA of Austin at the ACC Highland Campus.
Counseling & Mental Health Resources
ACC Counselors are here to support our students’ success efforts. They offer services and programs across the district to foster life balance, develop personal and academic growth, and help maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
The following organizations, agencies, and centers in the Central Texas area provide counseling or treatment for alcohol and/or drug dependence and/or abuse. Students can contact these agencies directly for more information or meet with an ACC counselor to discuss resources that are best suited for their needs. More information about these agencies can also be found on the United Way Capital Area’s 2-1-1 community resource database.
District Clinical Counseling Services
ACC District Clinical Counselors are here to support our students’ success efforts. District Clinical Counseling Services provides student support and assistance during difficult or distressful situations. If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional and or psychological difficulties, clinical counselors can assist with personal challenges, transitions, and the stressful times that may surface during the college experience. Services are offered to currently enrolled students and by appointment. Same-day services may be available for individuals with urgent concerns pending availability.
Financial Aid/Help
Financial aid can help you pay for college. Most students and families are eligible for some type of financial aid – from grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study. The Financial Aid Office at Austin Community College will work with you to explore options and access the funds you need to achieve a college education. See also Scholarships page.
Emergency Financial Issues
Does an unanticipated financial emergency have you down? Are you considering dropping your classes? ACC has a student emergency fund to help keep you on track to reach your academic and career goals. Get help for life’s unexpected emergencies.
Help Paying for Childcare or Utility Bills
ACC’s Support Center offers specialized assistance and referrals. If eligible, you can receive funds to help you pay for childcare or purchase books, depending on your need and the type of funds available.
Budgeting Help
ACC’s Student Money Management Office can help you take control of your money. Check out their tools, attend or request a workshop, or ask them your personal finance questions.

Student Government Association
Student Government Executive Officers oversee, delegate, and help lead the Association through various events and workshops.

Online Students
Any ACC student taking at least one online course can access services and resources for distance education students.

- Southwestern Social Work Association – an affiliate of the Southwestern Social Science Association (SSSA), the oldest interdisciplinary social-science association in the United States.

Student Accessibility Services
Student Accessibility & Social Support Resources
The Office of Student Accessibility & Social Support Resources includes the administration of the Carl D. Perkins grant and other grants, Student Accessibility Services, Interpreter Services, including closed captioning production, Alternative Media (brailling & accessible text & media conversion), the Foster Care Alumni Program, and the Support Center.
There is a Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office at each campus. If you have a disability, contact Accessibility Services at the campus that’s most convenient for you.
Support Center
ACC’s Support Center provides specialized assistance and referrals to a select group of students who would benefit from additional assistance to overcome challenges and complete their education.
Are you eligible? Eligibility for the Support Center is based on your income. You may qualify for services if you are eligible for financial aid. Read the frequently asked questions page for the Support Center.

The Veterans Resource Center offers ACC military and veteran students a central, one-stop location for obtaining essential support services such as VA certification and advising for VA benefits.
Veterans Services at ACC offers support of enrolling, apply for VA benefits, and scholarship opportunities.
Vets Success on Campus – Austin Community College has joined the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer VetSuccess on Campus, a collaborative effort to smooth your transition to college life.
