Lynne Wiesman
Lynne is the founder of Signs of Development, a first-to-market professional development organization specializing in providing training nationally and internationally on all aspects of interpreting including ethical decision-making, mentoring, certification preparation, and self-analysis all for continuing education (CEUs).
Lynne has served the profession in many capacities over her career including national and international presenting, served on the Board of Directors of the Conference of Interpreter Trainers, developer of the 3 STEP (Striving Toward Effective Practices) Mentoring Training Project (implemented in 15 states) and involved in the development of the TSID Fran Herrington-Borre Mentorship Program. She has taught Mentoring for the Master Mentor Program, and most recently served as the developer and Program Director for Troy University’s 4 year e-campus & on-campus Interpreter Preparation Program. Among her other endeavors, she is a freelance interpreter and is A.B.D. in Training & Performance Improvement with research interests in mentoring to close the graduation-to-certification performance gap.
In her free time, she can be found working on numerous craft projects, spending time with her pets, and riding her bicycle around town.
