Mike graduated from the Illinois School for the Deaf.  He received his BA degree from Gallaudet University and his MA from New York University, in the field of Rehabilitation/Education.

Before moving to Texas, Mike lived in New Hampshire where he and his wife, Cindy, raised their two boys.  He taught ASL as full time faculty for the University of New Hampshire for 14 years.  He also worked as the Coordinator for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for a public school district.

Mike and Cindy recently moved to San Marcos, Texas (December 2016).  Mike is looking forward to teaching at ACC and getting involved in the local Deaf community. Mikes other passions include using reclaimed wood to make art and working on his land in San Marcos.
