Martin Vásquez received his BA in Spanish/English Translation and Interpreting with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. He is a graduate of ACC’s Interpreter Training Program. He has worked in state government as an ASL interpreter and a Spanish language interpreter. Martin taught as a full-time Interpreter Training Program instructor in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas for several years, later returning to private practice as an ASL/English/Spanish interpreter.

He is nationally certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and the Texas Board for the Evaluation of Interpreters, holding Court, Medical, and Trilingual specialty certifications. Martin trains interpreters in the fields of Medical and Trilingual Interpreting, as well as Ethics, and Standards of Practice.
